Application for an award of heritage floor space – Haymarket Library site

Under review

Contributions to this consultation are closed for evaluation and review. The project team will report back on key outcomes.

We invite your feedback on an application for the retrospective award of heritage floor space for the Haymarket Library site at 744 George Street, Sydney. This application was prepared by Urbis on behalf of the City of Sydney.

The application seeks a total award of 1,125 square metres of heritage floor space for conservation works undertaken, and does not propose any further conservation works or other physical changes.

The heritage floor space scheme provides heritage building owners with an incentive to conserve and maintain their property.

We invite surrounding neighbours and property owners to give feedback on the proposal. We will consider all feedback and report the results to council.

A printed copy is available for inspection at Town Hall Customer Service Centre.

Electronic copies can also be viewed at our customer service centres in Glebe, Green Square and Kings Cross.
