Improving Chelsea Street Reserve Redfern

Improving Chelsea Street Reserve Redfern

Improvement works

Works have started on improving Chelsea Street Reserve in Redfern.

Project details

We invite your feedback on a proposal to upgrade Chelsea Street Reserve, Redfern.

The renewal works will improve the park for everyone to enjoy and have been developed in response to community feedback about the turf condition.

The proposal includes:

  • new open area with artificial turf
  • new brick retaining wall
  • informal garden walk with sandstone steppers
  • new picnic table with extra seating
  • upgraded garden beds with grasses and shrubs.

The existing mature trees will be protected during the upgrade works.

We also invite you to a tour of the reserve to hear more about the design for the renewal. The tour will take place at the park from 10am to 11am on Saturday 10 March 2018.

This consultation will close at 5pm on Monday 19 March 2018.
