New city centre playground proposal

New city centre playground proposal

Following community consultation, Council approved the proposed concept design.

View decision

We are building a new playground in Cook + Phillip Park and we would like your feedback on the proposed design. The new playground will be inclusive for everyone to enjoy.

It will include slides, climbing nets, balance beams, stepping stones, swings, a dry creek bed and cubby houses. There will also be plants, an open lawn, shaded areas and seating.

This design was inspired by local primary school students, who contributed their ideas during workshops in 2018 at Bourke Street and Plunkett Street primary schools.

How you can give feedback

You can view the proposed design including the engagement report with local primary school students, and give your feedback by completing an online form.
