Rosebank Park: off-leash areas for dogs

Rosebank Park: off-leash areas for dogs

Following strong community support Rosebank Park is now an off-leash area at all times. Park signs are updated and City staff visit the park to educate dog owners about their responsibilities.

We invite your feedback on a proposal to make the lawn areas of Rosebank Park off-leash for dogs. This proposal is in response to requests from the community.

Rosebank Park, at 5–15 Farrell Avenue Darlinghurst, includes central grassed areas, pathways and gardens. The change will allow pet owners' dogs to be off-leash at all times on the grassed areas of the park.

We will update the park signs to inform visitors and remind owners to look after their pets when using the park. Pets are an important part of people’s lives and the City of Sydney works with our community to promote responsible pet ownership.

This work is informed by our companion animals policy.
