Hollis Park: proposal to increase off-leash time for dogs

Hollis Park: proposal to increase off-leash time for dogs

Open

This consultation is open for contributions.

We invite your feedback on a proposal to either extend the off-leash times in Hollis Park, Newtown, or to allow dogs off-leash at all times.

Hollis Park is now off-leash from 6pm to 8am. In response to a petition from the community, we propose to increase the off-leash times to start from 4.30pm and finish at 9.30amthe following day. Alternatively, we will consider a proposal to allow dogs off-leash at all times in the park.

Dogs would still be prohibited from the playground.

These proposals are part of the City’s work with our communities to promote responsible dog ownership and ensure parks remain accessible, safe and clean.
