Improving Quarry and Pyrmont streets, Ultimo

Improving Quarry and Pyrmont streets, Ultimo

Under review

Contributions to this consultation are closed for evaluation and review. The project team will report back on key outcomes.

We're planning to upgrade Quarry and Pyrmont Streets between Harris and Pyrmont streets in Ultimo to make it easier to walk to the city. We're seeking your feedback on the project.

The improvements will enhance local streets and access to Darling Quarter.

About the proposed improvements

The proposed upgrade will include a new paved plaza at the southern end of Pyrmont Street. We’ll also widen footpaths, install new lighting and plant more street trees.

For people riding motorbikes, we’ll create 9 new motorcycle parking spaces. All current loading zones will remain, but the changes will require a reduction in on-street parking. We’ll remove 2 ticketed parking spaces on Pyrmont Street.

Work is expected to start in early 2021.
