John Street Reserve: proposed shared zone

John Street Reserve: proposed shared zone

Under review

Contributions to this consultation are closed for evaluation and review. The project team will report back on key outcomes.

We invite your feedback on a proposal for a shared zone around John Street Reserve in Glebe to improve safety for people walking and driving in the area.

The shared zone will apply to John Street, Woolley Lane and St James Avenue.

Shared zones have a 10 km/h speed limit and drivers must give way to people walking. Speed bumps at the entry and exit points will help identify the street as a pedestrian area.

The shared zone will reduce the amount of through traffic along the reserve, improving safety for people walking and driving. Access for cyclists will remain and there will be no changes to on-street parking.

Shared zones are put in place in agreement with Roads & Maritime Services.
