New median strip and more trees on Cressy Street, Rosebery

New median strip and more trees on Cressy Street, Rosebery

Open

This consultation is open for contributions.

We invite your feedback on a proposal to install a central median strip and plant trees on Cressy Street, Rosebery between Mentmore and Rothschild avenues.

After receiving support from the community during consultation carried out in 2018, we’ll also install a pedestrian crossing on Cressy Street. The footpaths will be widened as part of the pedestrian crossing.

As days of extreme heat increase, we’re looking for ways to keep our streets cool and reduce the urban heat island effect. Under this proposal, we’ll plant native yellow bloodwood trees that will provide shade and make the street more pleasant for residents and visitors.

The changes to the street will also improve safety by reducing vehicle speeds and making it easier to cross the road.

There are no changes to parking planned and access to all driveways will be maintained.
