Proposed permanent road closure – Morehead Street at James Street, Redfern

Under review

Contributions to this consultation are closed for evaluation and review. The project team will report back on key outcomes.

We invite your feedback on a proposal to close Morehead Street at James Street, Redfern.

Closing Morehead Street will improve safety, prevent through traffic, reduce traffic speed and allow landscaping in the street, between Cooper and James streets. The closure will also enable traffic islands on Morehead Street to provide an area for vehicles to turn around at the closure.

There is a kerbside parking loss of approximately 2 to 4 car spaces in Morehead Street as part of this proposal.
