Sydney's recovery plan

Sydney's recovery plan

Under review

Council resolved at its meeting on 4 May 2020 to prepare a City Recovery Plan in response to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. This will include a community and economic recovery plan, which will be informed by consultation with businesses and our communities.

While there’s still a lot of uncertainty about the future, developing a plan for recovery is important to build trust and confidence. This plan must be informed by health advice from state and federal governments and guided by principles consistent with Sustainable Sydney 2030. These include inclusive and equitable social and economic sustainability, underpinned by environmental sustainability, and the critical contribution of artists and the creative sector in recovering a strong society.

We’d like your help to develop our plan. We’re asking local businesses, organisations, residents, workers, and students to complete this short survey. It will give us important insights on how coronavirus has impacted you and how you think the City can help in the recovery.

We'll continue to work with you on implementing this plan. We'll be checking in with our communities to find out how they're going as we recover, together, from the impacts of Covid-19.
