Expression of interest

We’re seeking highly skilled and passionate professional artists, makers and designers to support Pine Street Creative Arts Centre’s vibrant programs. 

We’re looking for suitably experienced individuals who can work collaboratively, uphold the City’s values and commit to representing the City’s Sustainable Sydney 2030 vision through program delivery in 1 or more of the following service areas: 

  • jewellery and object
  • ceramics
  • printmaking
  • painting and drawing
  • inclusive programming
  • children and youth programming.

Tutor role

The tutor panel will be responsible for supporting the city’s diverse communities to learn, grow, create and connect by creating opportunities to participate in life-long learning and creative skills development. Working under the direction of the program coordinators, the panel will be used as required for term, school holiday and short course programs to provide program development and preparation, delivery, evaluation and technical support. 

Tutors must be able to:

  • provide program delivery and technical support services as detailed in program brief supplied by the Pine Street program team.
  • relevant experience, skills and qualifications 
  • demonstrate capacity and technical ability to carry out tutor roles and the work under the contract
  • demonstrate a commitment to customer service and workplace safety.

The panel

The tutor panel will be engaged for a period of 1 year with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months on a schedule of hourly rates set by the City (see information for applicants for more details). Appointment is conditional on a 6 month probation period.
