Let’s play ball in Ultimo

Wentworth Park is a large and popular public space that links the suburbs of Glebe and Ultimo in the city’s west.

Sporty types will love the 4 floodlit, multipurpose fields perfect for a game of soccer or football. The cricket nets in the northern section of the park are available for hire throughout the year. A series of fitness stations follow the perimeter of the park.

A shaded playground with equipment for children of all ages can be found in the southern part of the park.

Consider your lazy, sunny afternoons sorted with picnic areas, lots of seating and water bubblers located close by.

The central part of the park hosts a greyhound racing arena, which is also the site of an antiques and collectible fair on the first Sunday of each month.

Public toilets, including an accessible facility, are located adjacent to the sports fields.

Elevator access to the park is available from Wattle Street. The Wentworth Park light rail station is located further along Wattle Street and the best place to disembark. Buses 501, 433 and 431 stop nearby. On-street car parking is also available.
