Your guide to reading newspapers online

Members of the City’s library network can access over 3,000 local, regional and international newspapers and magazines from more than 100 countries in over 60 languages.

Library PressReader provides titles from the world’s leading publishers. The service offers same-day news content, before print copies are delivered, allowing library members to read the most up-to-date news.

Home access

Through Library PressReader, library members can remotely access publications from the comfort of their home by simply typing in their library card number when prompted.

Users can access the online publications through any library computer.

The service can also be accessed with your own portable device through the library’s wifi network by downloading the PressReader app. 

To access the service at a library:

  1. Download the PressReader app.
  2. Visit one of our libraries to gain authentication through our wifi network. A green teacup will display in the top left corner when your device is ready.
  3. Click on the menu icon in the top left corner and then click publications.
  4. Browse publications by categories, countries or languages.
  5. Click on the newspaper image and then download.
