A proposed change to heritage floor space controls for Central Sydney.

Senior Project Manager, Community Consultation
We’re proposing a change to heritage floor space controls for Central Sydney. The proposal seeks to extend the alternative arrangements for allocating heritage floor space to development sites in Central Sydney for 2 years. It responds to a temporary shortage of heritage floor space in the market and allows more time for supply to become available. This allows development to proceed in the meantime.
The documents on exhibition include a planning proposal to amend the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 and the alternative heritage floor space scheme. This affects the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 and the alternative heritage floor space allocation scheme.
We will consider all submissions and report the results to Council and the Central Sydney Planning Committee.
If Council approves this planning proposal after public consultation, it can amend the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 on behalf of the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces.
Consultation closes at 5pm on Tuesday 10 November 2020.
