Your say on proposed changes to planning controls for 150 Day Street, Sydney
The amendments will preserve the existing 11 storeys and allow an 11-storey extension for the hotel.
Open for feedback
We invite your feedback on this proposal.
What we’re doing
We propose to make changes to 150 Day Street, Sydney.
The plans involve increasing the building height from 45m to about 85m, and the maximum floor space ratio from 9.9:1 to 13.5:1. This is equivalent to 8,200sqm more floor space.
These changes will preserve the existing 11 storeys and allow an 11-storey extension for the hotel.
We invite your feedback on the planning proposal, draft development control plan and a draft planning agreement for affordable housing contributions.
Next steps
After feedback closes, we’ll report the results to Council and the Central Sydney Planning Committee. If Council approves this planning proposal, it can amend the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 on behalf of the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces.
How you can give feedback
Consultation closes at 5pm Monday 20 April 2026.
