Your say on increasing tree canopy on Victoria Road, Glebe
We invite your feedback on our proposal to plant more trees on Victoria Road.

We invite your feedback on this proposal.
What we’re doing
We’re proposing to plant around 9 yellow bloodwood trees, between Maxwell Road and Avenue Road, in a series of landscaped median strips. The median strips will also help slow traffic and make the street safer.
The proposal will maintain a 3m travel lane in each direction, allowing all vehicles to use the street including waste collection and emergency services. No parking will be permanently removed as part of the project and there will be enough space to safely parallel park on both sides of the street.
As well as beautifying the street, these trees will provide shade and reduce the urban heat island effect. This will help reduce the impacts of climate change in our local area.
Why we’re doing this
Our greening Sydney strategy has clear targets for increasing canopy cover across our local area for a cooler and more resilient city. This area has been identified as an opportunity for more canopy cover.
