Your say on the proposed design for Marriott Street Reserve, Redfern
We invite your feedback on our proposed design for Marriott Street Reserve
Open for feedback
What we’re doing
We plan to upgrade Marriott Street Reserve in Redfern.
Last year, we asked the community how they want to use this space. This feedback has helped us develop our proposed design for Marriott Street Reserve, which includes:
- enclosed play spaces with play equipment including a tower and slide, deck and bridges, imaginative play and climbing challenges
- a double swing with a toddler cradle and seat, or a basket swing
- a nature play area with sandstone boulders, platform decks, stepping stones, balance beam and colourful poles
- moving paths to improve access and safety and increase the usable park area
upgraded lighting - improvements to the lawn area and new shrub plantings
- new low seating and barrier walls
- new seats, tables and bubbler
- improved drainage.
All existing mature trees in the park will be protected during the works.
Your feedback will help us develop the concept design.
Why we’re doing this
Over the next 10 years, we’ll upgrade more than 60 parks in our area, from small pocket parks to larger local parks.
We’re asking for feedback from local community groups and residents on the concept design. Tell us how you use the space, what works, what doesn’t and share any ideas you have for its future.
How you can give feedback
Consultation closes at 5pm on Wednesday 17 December 2025.
