Upgrade works on Beaconsfield Park, Beaconsfield

New play equipment and access improvements

We’ll soon start work on an upgrade of Beaconsfield Park in Beaconsfield to provide new play equipment and places to sit and improve access.

The upgrade includes:

  • a double swing set, a balance beam, steppers and a see-saw
  • a play structure with slides and climbing nets
  • an accessible ramp from William Street and entry from Queen Street
  • a barbecue and picnic settings
  • a shade structure, playground fence, sitting walls and seating
  • new trees and plants
  • maintaining the open grass and protecting mature trees.

You can view the plan of works.

We expect work to start in July 2020 and take around 6 months to complete, weather permitting. Works will take place from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday.

The playground will be closed during the works but other parts of the park will stay open. The nearest playgrounds are:

  • Janet Beirne Reserve Playground, Victoria Street, Beaconsfield
  • Sweetacres Park Playground, Rothschild Avenue, Rosebery.

We will take steps to minimise other impacts. However, there will be some machinery noise and dust.
