Upgrade works on Cardigan Street Reserve, Glebe

Upgrade works on Cardigan Street Reserve, Glebe

Parkland improvements

We’ll soon start work in Cardigan Street Reserve in Glebe to improve this public parkland for everyone to enjoy.

The upgrade includes:

  • better access in and around the park
  • a usable turf area
  • a range of seating options and a water bubbler
  • a native habitat with shrubs and grasses and a new street tree.

We expect work to start in late July and take around 4 months to complete, weather permitting. Works will take place from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday.

You can view the plan of works.

The reserve will be closed during the works. The nearest parks are:

  • Thomas Portley Reserve, Bellevue Street, Glebe
  • Wentworth Park, Glebe.

We will take steps to minimise other impacts. However, there will be some machinery noise and dust. Parking may be impacted due to access requirements for construction materials and equipment.
