Womerah Gardens upgrade

Womerah Gardens upgrade

Womerah Avenue, Darlinghurst

We've started work in Womerah Gardens in Womerah Avenue, Darlinghurst, to improve the gardens for everyone to enjoy.

The upgrade includes:

  • new plants, a raised grass area and replacing several trees
  • more seating and an improved footpath across the gardens
  • improved access between Craigend Street and Womerah Avenue.

The work started in late March and will take around 4 months to complete, weather permitting.

Works will take place from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday.

The gardens will be closed during the works. The nearest parks are:

  • Rushcutters Bay Park in Darling Point
  • Lawrence Hargrave Reserve in Elizabeth Bay
  • Fitzroy Gardens in Potts Point.

We’ll take steps to minimise impacts. However, there will be some machinery noise and dust.
