Ripon Way, Rosebery: new trees & footpath upgrade

Ripon Way, Rosebery: new trees & footpath upgrade

Improvement works

We have completed work to plant 27 more trees on Ripon Way in Rosebery and widen the footpath at the intersection with Dalmeny Avenue.

We widened the footpath to help pedestrians crossing the road. We planted trees in new garden beds within the roadway to slow traffic, provide more shade for the street and absorb stormwater during heavy rains.

To provide space for the footpath extensions and new trees, on street parking was reduced from 53 to 40 spaces.

The works included:

  • planting 27 Sydney red gum trees in new kerbside locations
  • adding footpath extensions, stormwater pits and new garden beds.

The works were started in May and completed in August 2018.
