The proposed new grants will be open to landowners and business occupants of buildings in the Dixon Street south area. Business occupants will need a letter of support from the landowner.

Why we’re doing this

The Haymarket and Chinatown revitalisation strategy includes actions to explore grant programs that improve the shopfronts in the southern part of Dixon Street in Haymarket.

The strategy provides a coordinated response to the community vision for the area and evidence-based studies. It identifies action in 5 areas:

  1. Renewal of the heart
  2. Planning and heritage
  3. Public domain and public art
  4. Culture, events and activations
