Recycling your E-waste!
Since the City of Sydney began its E-waste recycling collections for residents in November 2008, the City has recycled 43.57 tonnes of electronic waste. That means more than 40 tonnes of hazardous, electronic waste was saved from landfill.

The City supports a national scheme for managing electronic waste, where producers are responsible for recycling products at the end of their useful life.

The City of Sydney's Waste Team won 2 awards at the LGSA Excellence in Environment Awards 2009 on 1 December 2009. Awarded:
