Improving Durdans Avenue, Rosebery
We’re planting more trees, installing raised median strips and kerbside traffic islands.
Project Status: Completed
Works started in July 2023 and were completed in September 2023.
What we’re doing
We’re improving the streetscape and calming traffic by planting new trees within the roadway. This will allow the trees to grow in enough soil and away from overhead cables.
Our contractor QMC will install:
- 3 raised and landscaped median strips at the centre of Durdans Avenue
- 4 landscaped kerbside traffic islands on the eastern side of Durdans Avenue
- 8 trees to provide shade, cool the street and increase the overall canopy cover of the area to meet our greening targets.
As part of these works 4 parking spaces will be reallocated. Travel lanes and parking lanes will be kept in both directions.
We will take steps to minimise construction impacts on residents.
