Planning for outer Sydney Harbour
Open for feedback
Share your aspirations for the harbour, surrounding land, and any areas of concern so that we can plan for the future.
Why we’re doing this
Sydney Coastal Councils Group is creating a coastal management plan to care for outer Sydney Harbour.
The plan covers natural bushland and urban waterfronts, beaches, parks and catchment areas across council areas including City of Sydney, Ku-ring-gai, Mosman, North Sydney, Northern Beaches, Willoughby, Waverley and Woollahra. It also includes Sydney Harbour National Park, harbour islands and Garigal National Park. From seawalls and public spaces to roads, buildings and utilities, public and private infrastructure is affected by tides, erosion, coastal weather and climate change. That's why we need councils, land managers and communities working together.
Your views matter. By joining forces, we can protect Sydney Harbour's health for generations to come.
What we’re doing
We're working with Sydney Coastal Councils Group to develop a plan for outer Sydney Harbour based on what you've told us matters most.
