New cycleway for College Street
This project is part of our program to make Sydney a safer place for people to walk and ride, and provide more options for people to travel around the city.
Project Status: Completed
Works started in July 2022 and were completed in February 2023.
What we’re doing
We’re building a 2-way cycleway on the western side of College Street, between Prince Alfred Street and Liverpool Square.
The 650m cycleway will connect to Queens Square and a new bike lane on King Street in the north, and planned bike lanes on Liverpool and Oxford streets in the south.
The cycleway will provide a safe connection for people riding and create a safer environment for people walking by reducing footpath riding.
This work has been funded by the NSW Government.
