New median strips and more trees on Jones Bay Road, Pyrmont
These works will slow vehicles, making it safer for people to cross the road.

The construction works were completed in late 2020 and the new trees were planted in May 2021.
What we’re doing
We’ll install central median strips and plant more trees on Jones Bay Road near Pyrmont Street in Pyrmont.
This work will help keep our streets cool. Emergency vehicles will still be able to drive around the median strip. The trees will be evergreen trees in response to community feedback.
There are no changes to parking and access to all driveways will be maintained.
Works are expected to start in late 2020.
