Works began in October 2025 and will take 4 to 6 weeks, weather permitting. Works will take place from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday as required.
What we’re doing
We’re planting 6 new trees on Rosebery Avenue in Rosebery to provide shade, cool the street and increase the overall canopy cover of the area to meet our greening targets.
The works include installing 2 raised landscaped median strips on Rosebery Avenue between Morely Avenue and Kimberly Grove.
Our contractor Sydney Civil will carry out the works. Steps will be taken to minimise impacts. There will be some machinery noise and dust. Temporary changes to the traffic flow and parking will allow access for construction materials and equipment.

Why we’re doing this
This project is part of our work to keep our streets cool, calm and green.
Following community consultation, the project was endorsed by the Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee.
