What we’re doing

We’re planting 13 new trees on Tweedmouth Avenue in Rosebery to provide shade, cool the street and increase the overall canopy cover of the area to meet our greening targets.

The works include installing 5 raised landscaped median strips on Tweedmouth Avenue between Dunning Avenue and Dalmeny Avenue.

Our contractor Sydney Civil Group will carry out the works. Steps will be taken to minimise impacts. There will be some machinery noise and dust. Temporary changes to the traffic flow and parking will allow access for construction materials and equipment.

Aerial and street-level site plans show three proposed landscape central reservation locations along Tweedmouth Avenue, Rosebery, with annotations about new planting and tree spacing.

Why we’re doing this

This project is part of our work to keep our streets cool, calm and green.

Following community consultation, the project was endorsed by the Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee.
