Ripon Way, Rosebery: new trees and footpath upgrade works

27 more trees planted and footpath widened.

Project Status: Completed

What we’re doing

We widened the footpath to help people crossing the road. We planted trees in new garden beds within the roadway to slow traffic, provide more shade for the street and absorb stormwater during heavy rains.

To provide space for the footpath extensions and new trees, on street parking was reduced from 53 to 40 spaces.

The works included:

  • planting 27 Sydney red gum trees in new kerbside locations
  • adding footpath extensions, stormwater pits and new garden beds.
