About this opportunity

The creative hoardings program provides opportunities for artists to showcase their work on a large scale in very visible locations.

We’re seeking to create a new suite of compelling artworks that will enliven our streets.

Artists, designers and creative collectives, now’s the time to submit your ideas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to have your work shown in very public places.

Selected artists will be paid a licence fee.

Eligibility criteria

  • Individual artists, designers and small-scale creative collectives are welcome to apply.
  • All applicants, including members of a collective, must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, aged 18 or over, and based in Greater Sydney.

Project stages and payment information

Key dates

  • Applications close: 5pm on Monday 14 July
  • Applicants notified of outcome: Monday 18 August
  • Artwork files and concept refinement process: August to October
  • Applicants provide final artwork files: Monday 8 October
  • Artworks published on City of Sydney website: November
