Set on Woolloomooloo Bay near the Royal Botanic Garden, the Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool offers patrons breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour.
The safety of our communities, customers and employees is our top priority.
In line with NSW Health restrictions and stay at home orders our pools, libraries, community centres, gyms, customer and neighbourhood service centres will be closed from 5pm on Friday 25 June until midnight on Thursday 30 September.
Venues for hire will also be closed and we will contact anyone with a booking.
City of Sydney parks, playgrounds and outdoor fitness stations will remain open in line with directions issued by NSW Health. We will implement additional cleaning for our playgrounds and fitness stations.

Covid-safe measures included
This venue has a Covid-safe plan. You’ll be asked to sign in on arrival. Hand sanitiser is available throughout the centre and additional cleaning measures are in place.
Free play lanes includedAt least one lane will be available for free play only from 9am each day. Free play lanes have a maximum capacity of 15 people (including children).

Pool with a view
Our 50m outdoor pool is perfect for lap swimming. It has 8 lanes and ranges in depth from 1.2m to 2m. The pool is heated from 1 September to 30 April and filled with chemically treated salt water.
The smaller (20m) pool is 1m deep throughout and perfect if you're learning to swim or just want to have fun. It is heated to 28ºC and also contains chemically treated salt water. This pool has a shade cover to protect you from the sun.
There are features in place to make sure Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool is accessible to people with disability.
While visiting the pool
- notify staff if you start to feel unwell
- maintain 1.5m physical distance from all people including staff
- wash or sanitise your hands on entry and regularly after that
- wipe down equipment that you use or touch with the sanitising wipes supplied
- follow the centre’s signage and conditions of entry along with staff directions
Do not attend if you are unwell or have been asked to self-isolate
Please do not attend if you are unwell or have any signs of cold or flu, including a cough, sore/scratchy throat, runny nose, shortness of breath or fever. If staff observe any of these symptoms you will be asked to leave immediately.
