What we’re doing

We’re proposing to change Little Queen Street and Teggs Lane, Chippendale to one-way eastbound from Abercrombie Street to Balfour Street. We will also install speed humps to reduce speeds along these streets.

The proposal would restrict vehicles coming from Regent Street to access Abercrombie Street as a shortcut route. It would also improve traffic flow, ensure access for adjoining residents and improve safety for people walking.

Map shows proposed one-way streets on Little Queen Street and Teggs Lane with new speed humps half way along the streets from Abercrombie Street to Balfour Street. Map also shows proposed extension of existing island and installing a small island on the southern side of the intersection of Abercrombie and Little Queen streets.

Next steps

We will consider all feedback and report the results to the Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee, for consideration at its meeting on Thursday 19 October 2023.
