Building the final section of Zetland Avenue west in Green Square

Works are expected to start in mid-2024 and take about 3 months to complete.

What we’re doing

We’re building a northbound one way lane for vehicles travelling along the western section of Zetland Avenue, between Paul and Portman streets.

This is the last stage in the construction of Zetland Avenue, a 36m-wide, tree-lined boulevard and a central transport corridor in the growing neighbourhood of Green Square.

Works include:

  • asphalting, concreting, paving, kerbs and guttering
  • upgrading of traffic signals
  • footpaths

Work will take place from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday and 7:30am to 3:30pm on Saturday.
