Building the final section of Zetland Avenue west in Green Square
Project Status: In progress
Works started in June 2024 and are expected to take about 5 months to complete.
What we’re doing
We’re building eastbound one-way lanes for vehicles travelling along the northern section of Zetland Avenue, between Paul and Portman streets.
This is the last stage in the construction of Zetland Avenue, a 36m-wide, tree-lined boulevard and a central transport corridor in the growing neighbourhood of Green Square.
Works include:
- asphalting, concreting, paving, kerbs and guttering
- a cycleway, footpaths and landscaping
- street lights and traffic signal upgrades.
Work will take place from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday and 7:30am to 3:30pm on Saturday.
