Sydney’s Lunar Festival celebrations are the largest in the Southern Hemisphere outside Asia. The City of Sydney produces a number of flagship events that attract thousands of visitors from overseas, interstate and across the Sydney metropolitan area.

We have a wide range of opportunities for event sponsors throughout the Sydney Lunar Festival period. These include:

• An opportunity to showcase products or your brand at Sydney Lunar Streets – attracting over 10,000 participants
• Align your brand and products with the Lunar Lanterns. These are positioned in high traffic locations in the city centre throughout the duration of the festival.
• Exposure and coverage across the Sydney Festival website and other digital channels including email newsletters and social media posts
• Attendance at key events such as media announcements and VIP events

The Australian Life is the country's only free-to-enter competition open to both professional and amateur photographers. The established competition is well-known among the photography community and attracts almost 1,000 entries each year.

Twenty-eight finalists have their image exhibited at a large format outdoor exhibition in the city centre with 1 winner chosen by a panel of judges to receive the $10,000 grand prize. During the exhibition, visitors can vote for an image to receive the People’s Choice award. In 2022, 2819 votes were received.

Sponsors benefits for the Australian Life competition include:

• Naming rights to the People’s Choice award
• Logo placements and / or sponsor acknowledgement at all digital touch points related to the competition and exhibition. This includes the website, entry form, email newsletters and social media posts.
