Quick exit
When you click the quick exit link on our webpages, it will refresh the webpage to show the City of Sydney home page. It will also open a second browser window of the same webpage.
In both windows, the back button has been disabled so your immediate viewing history in those windows is removed. But this doesn’t delete your browser history.
How to delete your browser history
Depending on the application or device you’re using, there are different ways to delete your browser history:
Personal browsing
You can keep your online browsing personal by using an incognito or private browser.
When you use one of these browsers, the webpages you visit aren’t recorded and cookies are deleted when you close it. This means you won’t need to delete your browser history.
These browsers include:
- InPrivate in Microsoft Edge
- Incognito in Google Chrome
- Private Browsing in Safari on iPhone and Safari on Mac.
