Do you want to perform as part of the Sydney Lunar Festival? We're inviting performers to be part of the community performance program to help us celebrate the Year of the Dragon in 2024.
Your group or performance must celebrate the Lunar New Year, one of the cultures that observe the Lunar New Year or the Year of the Dragon.
Opportunities are available for different types of performances either on a stage or as a roving performance.
Sydney Lunar Festival 2024 takes place from 10 to 25 February.
Haymarket Institute will run the program on behalf of the City of Sydney.

We’re seeking applications from groups to participate in the community performance program.
If successful, your group will be placed into one of the following shows.
How to apply
To apply for the community performance program, you need to:
- complete the online form
- send a short video of your performance in full costume up to 5 minutes long
- attend 1 compulsory dress rehearsal.

We don't accept demonstrations or similar activities as part of the community performance program as there's no capacity to provide a venue.
