Mobility parking scheme permits

If you hold a valid mobility scheme parking permit, you can make use of free parking for the following periods:

  • Where a mobility space has a time limit, you can stay for the time shown on the sign (generally 1 or 2 hours).
  • For a mobility space with no time limit, you can occupy the space as long as needed (in some spaces, this will be until the use of the space changes).
  • In general parking spaces:
    • An unlimited amount of time in parking zones of more than 30 minutes
    • Up to 2 hours in parking zones of 30 minutes
    • For parking restrictions less than 30 minutes, for example, 15 minutes, 5 minutes and so on, mobility parking scheme permit holders can park for up to 30 minutes.

Mobility parking scheme permit holders can stop in a no parking zone for up to 5 minutes to drop-off or pick-up passengers or goods as long as the driver remains within 3m of the vehicle.

Mobility parking scheme permits do not allow a vehicle to stand or park in areas signposted:

  • no stopping
  • taxi zone
  • bus zone
  • loading zone
  • work zone
  • clearway.

Map of mobility parking spaces

Mobility parking spaces in the city centre may not be correct on the map below, following recent changes with the bus network and light rail construction. While we update the map, you can review My Sydney, the Transport for NSW website. All other locations listed outside the city centre are up-to-date.
