Our award-winning international student leadership and ambassador program offers free training, integrated learning and volunteering opportunities.
About this opportunity
Make the most of your time in Sydney and join our international student leadership and ambassador program.
As an international student ambassador, you’ll:
- develop leadership skills and experiences that can help your future career
- meet new friends and expand your networks
- volunteer at major events such as Sydney New Year’s Eve, community services, Sydney City Farm and more
- be supported to create projects and events that help address the needs of international students.
You can apply for a 3 or 6 month program.
Applications for a 3 or 12 month program will also open in February 2027.

Application information sessions
There’ll be 2 sessions to give you an overview of the program and application tips. You’ll meet some of our ambassadors and have an opportunity to ask questions.
Please register for one of the sessions:
Apply online for programs that start in 5 September 2026. You can select the 3 or 6 month program.
Key dates
- Applications open: Wednesday 24 June, 9am Sydney time
- Applications close: Monday 27 July, 10am Sydney time
- All applicants notified of the outcome of their application: by Monday 17 August
- Programs start: Saturday 5 September
