Artwork description
A serene and sensory experience for children that explores the fragility of nature and tells the story of animals, endangered species and the importance of conservation by Erth Visual & Physical Inc.
You’re encouraged to leave the busy city behind and come underground into the sunken part of Paddington Reservoir Gardens to meet Fauna, an enchanting inflatable puppet sharing hope for the future.
With a naïve, playful and curious approach, Fauna invites you to be part of the fun, interactive performance and connect with the message of conservation and environmental sustainability.
Wherever Fauna wanders, a soundscape emerges – songs sung by the trees themselves – and a shimmering swarm of fireflies dances in her wake, illuminating a path of connection, wonder and renewal.
Each theatrical performance takes you on a path of calm, connection and wonder, with the sunken garden illuminated by an enchanted glow of soft lighting. The performances are complemented with an ambient symphony of nature that can be enjoyed by passersby, while participants enjoy a more direct and sensory experience through headphones.
