What we’re doing

We’re supporting the economic recovery of our neighbourhoods. Our new grant program encourages businesses, creatives, cultural operators and community groups to activate their area.

We seek your feedback on the grant guidelines which cover program details, eligibility and funding.

About the precinct activation grant

This grant focuses on precinct-based collaborations. Precincts can be big or small. They’re created when neighbouring businesses collaborate to activate and enliven their area.

Funding can be used for new projects, activations and events, or to strengthen and adapt existing partnerships and programs. Collaborations should be designed to activate businesses, public places and vacant retail and commercial space with cultural programming.

Activations must take place in the City of Sydney area. Applications must be lodged by a lead applicant and include collaborating businesses, creatives or cultural operators.
