What we’re doing

We plan to upgrade the playground and barbeque area at Alexandria Park, Alexandria. Your input will help us develop the concept design.

Why we’re doing this

This is part of our parks upgrade program. Over the next 10 years, we’ll upgrade more than 60 parks across the City of Sydney’s area, from small pocket parks to larger local parks.

We’re asking local community groups and residents for their feedback on the concept design. We’re interested in understanding who uses the current playground, what works and what doesn’t. We’d also like to hear any ideas you have for the new playground.

Alexandria Park is a significant place for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

As part of the upgrade, the City will also work with cultural knowledge holders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and local school students to develop a cultural design strategy that will guide how First Nations stories are celebrated in the park.
