The changes between Harris and Pyrmont streets will improve the area for people walking.

What we’re doing
The improvements will enhance local streets and access to Darling Quarter.
We will include:
- a new paved plaza at the southern end of Pyrmont Street
- widen footpaths
- install new lighting
- plant more street trees.
For people riding motorbikes, we’ll create 9 new motorcycle parking spaces.
All current loading zones will remain, but the changes will require a reduction in on-street parking. We’ll remove 2 ticketed parking spaces on Pyrmont Street.
Work is expected to start in early 2021.
