Share your thoughts on the proposed design for Thomas Portley Reserve
Open for feedback
We invite your feedback on the future of the Glebe open space.
What we’re doing
We plan to upgrade Thomas Portley Reserve in Glebe.
Based on your feedback from earlier this year, we’ve developed a concept design for the space.
Our concept design includes:
- building children’s play equipment with soft fall
 - adding a nature play area under the fig tree
 - installing seating
 - relocating drinking fountain and bin
 - repairing the brick retaining wall
 - removing the existing light and pole
 - planting new and upgrading garden beds.

One small tree, in poor health due to it being dominated by larger trees, will be removed as part of the works. All other trees in the park will be protected.
Why we’re doing this
Over the next 10 years, we’ll upgrade more than 60 parks in our area, from small pocket parks to larger local parks.
We’re asking for your feedback on the concept design. Tell us how you use the space, what works, areas for improvement and any ideas you for its future.
How you can give feedback
Consultation closes at 5pm on Wednesday 3 December 2025.
