Why we’re doing this
We propose to make the north-south section of Surrey Lane in Darlinghurst one-way southbound to Surry Street to improve sightlines and safety. Our aim is to make riding a real and convenient option for short trips.
What we’re doing
Our proposal includes installing signs for contraflow bicycle riding.
Vehicle access to and from existing properties on Surrey Street will be maintained from Craigend Street. The changes will maintain access for people who walk and emergency vehicles.
Kerbside parking spaces will stay the same.
