Active Transport Survey 2021

This survey shows how the habits and views of residents on walking and cycling in the city have changed since previous studies.

  • There has been an increase in walking for fitness and leisure, with 91% of respondents interested in walking more often.

  • There are more people riding more regularly, with 18% of residents riding more than once a month, up from 7% in 2017.

  • Rider perceptions of safety have improved, with 60% of regular riders feeling moderately or very safe.
