To help meet the physical distancing requirements of public health orders, venues can apply to use footpaths and other public land as an extension of their foyer space.

What you need to do

Theatres, music venues and galleries have been hit hard by the devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We welcome proposals from venues that wish to create an outdoor foyer. We’ll assess each proposal on its merits against part 12 of the Liquor Act 2007 and our guidelines.

Who’s eligible to apply:

cultural venues, theatres, music venues and galleries
community centres and arts education facilities
businesses that regularly hold events but are not classified as food and drink premises.
