Passion for organic crops

Around 40 gardeners share their passion for native plants, native bees, flowers and vegetables.

Sustainable living is at the core of these organic gardens. An onsite compost bin is used to fertilise crops. Water comes from a rainwater tank. No pesticides or herbicides are used.

There are 20 individual plots, with common garden beds and a sunny, grassy lawn on the beautiful grounds of the St John Bishopthorpe Anglican Church in Glebe.

The gardening volunteers meet every second Saturday of the month (except January) at 10am for a working bee, and on days highlighted on their Facebook page.
