We invite your feedback on proposed changes to heritage floor space controls for Central Sydney.

The heritage floor space scheme  encourages the conservation and maintenance of historic buildings in Central Sydney.

This proposal changes the formula for calculating heritage floor space for non-rateable buildings to be the same as the current formula for rateable buildings. Non-rateable buildings don’t pay Council rates, for example churches, synagogues and other places of worship.

This proposal will further incentivise the conservation of non-rateable buildings and increase the supply of heritage floor space.
