Rhymetime and storytime

Foster your child’s language and literacy skills through singing, reading and other fun activities.

A man with glasses and a beard sits in a library, holding open a children's picture book, with books displayed on a shelf behind him.

Our librarians regularly present popular sessions at Darling Square, Glebe, Green Square, Newtown and Surry Hills libraries.

Join us in branch with your little ones for rhymetime and storytime. Sessions are presented in Auslan, English and Mandarin across our library locations.

Rhymetime combines rhymes, movement, music and singing to help develop early literacy skills. For 0 to 2 year-olds.

Storytime fosters a love of reading, develops literacy skills and encourages social interaction for school readiness in a fun setting. For 3 to 5 year-olds.
